FlySafair warns of strike action today

FlySafair has warned of a possible operational delays today (June 28) as a result of a strike by a third-party ground-handling service provider at airports across the country.

In a statement the airline said:”This provider helps at the airline’s check-in counters, manages the handling of luggage and assists in turning around aircraft at the airports.”

FlySafair confirmed it has deployed back-up teams across the country to support operations to minimise any possible impact on the schedule.

Passengers are advised to check-in as early as possible for flights and to make use of the airline’s online check-in and the self-service kiosks at the airport to facilitate speedy check-in processes.

According to the airline, FlySafair is the only domestic operator affected by the strike and and will keep its customers updated via SMS and email with any news relating to service interruptions.
