Keep calm and do not panic! Esona Mtshengu shares her story with us…
Who are you and what made you get into travel?
Esona Mtshengu is a MICE Coordinator from The Winners Group. Whilst at college studying towards my diploma, 18 students from college where asked to assist Winners in one of their big projects and the company promised to reward the top two performing students with an internship and I was one of the students that received the internship and I have been with the company for almost 5 years now.
What has the industry taught you?
A lot can go wrong in the execution of a project and you cannot panic, if you panic you are not able to think and come up with a solution.
Where do you think you will be in the next 5 years?
From “MICE” I really love the E for events and would love to be involved with a brand that its core focus is corporate events.
What is your most pleasant travelling experience?
Travelling to Zanzibar last year, I am a summer baby so a beach destination is always at the top of my list. My highlight was how friendly the locals are.
