Angola YF requirements: what you need to know

Although TAAG-Angola Airlines recently posted on its website and on Travelinfo that all passengers between 10 and 61 years transiting in Angola needed a Yellow Fever (YF) vaccination, the airline has since reviewed this information.

Here’s what you need to know:
Passengers from South Africa do NOT require a YF vaccination certificate if they are transiting in Luanda for less than 12 hours.
Passengers do require a YF certificate if they are travelling to or from an infected area, such as for example Brazil.
Passengers will need a YF certificate if they are staying in Luanda for more than 12 hours.
The YF vaccination must be administered at least 10 days prior to travel.
The YF vaccination certificate is valid for life.
The YF vaccination is not required for babies less than 9 months old.
